I believe in today’s world having knowledge about cybersecurity is very important even though you don't have to be an hacker. NetHunter Rootless specifically helps you to access Kali Linux with no need to root your Android device which makes it so safe for newbies and also great for advanced hackers out there. So read on to learn how to install NetHunter rootless on your android device and start becoming an ethical hacker.
What is Kali nethunter?
The Kali NetHunter is a free and open source mobile penetration testing platform specifically developed for Android devices, based on the Kali Linux . The Kali NetHunter is also available for for both rooted devices (NetHunter Rootless), and also for rooted devices which have a standard recovery (NetHunter Lite), and for rooted devices with the custom recovery for which a NetHunter particular kernel is available (NetHunter).The official images are published by the Offensive Security on their download page and they are updated every quarter. NetHunter images with custom kernels are being published for the most popular supported devices, such as the Google Nexus, Samsung Galaxy and OnePlus phones. Many more models are also supported, but the images not published by the Offensive Security team can be generated using NetHunter build scripts.Kali NetHunter is maintained by a community of volunteers, and is funded by Offensive Security.
With that being said let's get started.
Installation of kali nethunter on android (Rootless)
First of all download the NetHunter-Store app by navigating to store.nethunter.com then install it.
From the NetHunter Store, install the Termux Application (don't use playstore version) and the NetHunter-KeX client application.
Open the termux and give storage permission to it by typing the command given below.
termux-setup-storage
Update and upgrade the termux repositories by running the command given below
apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
After the update get finished then install wget package
apt-get install wget -y
Download the nethunter installer script by the wget command given below.
wget -O install-nethunter-termux https://offs.ec/2MceZWr
Type ls
ls
You will see a file name install-nethunter-termux
If you don't see this the script it meas isn't downloaded . Make sure you downloaded the script using wget
Give executable permission to the script
chmod +x install-nethunter-termux
Run the script to install in the nethunter
install-nethunter-termux
This will take while depending upon the internet connection speed.Dont close termux app wait until the process gets completed and nethunter installation process is completed
After completion of the installation process set the password .To set the password check the commands given below . Explore the commands given below.
Commands
nethunter kex passwd
The "nethunter kex passwd" command will configure the KeX password it only needed before 1st use.
nethunter kex &
The"nethunter kex & " command will start the Kali NetHunter Desktop Experience user sessions
nethunter
The "nethunter" command will start the Kali NetHunter command line interface
nethunter kex stop
The "nethunter kex stop" will stop the Kali NetHunter Desktop Experience
nethunter -r
The "nethunter -r " will start the Kali NetHunter cli as root
nethunter -r kex passwd
The "nethunter -r kex passwd " command will configure the KeX password for root user.
nethunter -r kex &
The "nethunter -r kex & " will start the Kali NetHunter Desktop Experience as root
nethunter -r kex stop
The "nethunter -r kex stop" command will stop the Kali NetHunter Desktop Experience root sessions
nethunter -r kex kill
The "nethunter -r kex kill " command will Kill all the KeX sessions
nethunter <command>
The "nethunter <command> " will run command in the NetHunter environment
nethunter -r <command>
The "nethunter -r <command> " command will run <command> in the NetHunter environment as root
